Contestants provide samples according to the contest rules. All samples must arrive at Dairyland’s lab in De Pere, Wisconsin by the deadline stated on the entry form. Contestants are responsible for any costs associated with shipping samples to De Pere. All samples must come from the current crop year or any cuttings made after the previous year’s deadline. Corn silage samples are to come from the previous year crop.

Standard (Non-BMR) Corn Silage
BMR (Brown Mid-Rib) Corn Silage
There are winners for each of the eight categories, as well as the Overall Grand Champion; First Time Entrant Grand Champion; Quality Counts – Hay/Haylage; and Quality Counts – Corn Silage. The winners are chosen from the finalists using a formula derived by the University of Wisconsin.
